Nadeem Sultan
Chief Executive OfficerNadeem joined CLA in February as the Chief Operations Officer before being promoted to Chief Executive Officer. Nadeem Sultan joined the Group previously holding the role of Director Global SCO operations.
Before joining the group, Nadeem was Vice President – Global Cargo Operations, Qatar Airways and also held positions with Atlas Air and Polar Air Cargo. Nadeem has a Masters in Air Transport Management from Cranfield University
Jacquie Findlay
CLA Acting HR DirectorJacquie Findlay joined in February 2020 and has forty years’ experience in Human Resources. She has held Executive and Non Executive roles in a wide variety of sectors.
She is a Chartered Fellow of Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, with a Masters in European Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations from Keele University with her first degree in Combined Social Sciences.
Aamir Nawaid
CLA Chief Operating OfficerMohammed Aamir Nawaid joined in September as the Chief Operating Officer. He has had 20 years’ experience with Qatar Airways and his last role was Senior Vice President Aircraft Programs / Head of EASA Part-21J DOA.
Prior to joining Qatar Airways, he was with Pakistan International Airlines for nine years. Aamir has a MSc in Air Transport Engineering Management from Cranfield University England and Bachelor’s degree in Avionics Engineering – N.E.D. Engineering University, Pakistan.
Simon Whale
Head of FinanceSimon Whale joined CargoLogicAIr in January 2020. Prior to this he was the Finance Transformation Accountant with Konica Minolta Marketing Services (KMMS).
Prior to joining KMMS he ran his own accountancy company and before that as Senior Finance Manager for Nortel. He is CIMA qualified and his degree is in Economics and Econometrics. He has 28 years’ experience in Finance.
Sarah Read
Head of Regulatory and Government AffairsSarah Read joined CLA in September 2020 after 20 years service with Virgin Atlantic Airways working in a wide variety of departments from Customer Contact Centre, Human Resources, to her final position of External Affairs Specialist, Air Service Negotiations and International Relations.
Sarah has a degree in English and Theology.
Richard Nanton
Director Flight OperationsRichard Nanton joined on 1 October 2020 and is an experienced Flight Operations Executive, with 30 years of experience working in the aviation and aerospace industry. Strong operations professional with a Post Graduate Diploma focused on AirTransport Management from City University London.
A practising Training and Line Captain with approximately 12000 hours on a number of aircraft including B737, A320, A330 and B777, he ensured organisational regulatory compliance and safety oversight as Deputy Accountable Manager and as Post Holder for Flight Operations and Training, under the UK CAA. Richard has worked for GoAir, Thomas Cook, EasyJet and Qatar Airways.
John Nicholas
Technical DirectorJohn Nicholas joined CargoLogicAir in December 2016 as the Technical Director. Prior to that he had a short spell with Baines Simmons Ltd as Principal Consultant.
John also spent 19 years with CAA in a variety of roles, including Head of Technical Services, Head of CAA Shared Services, Head of Applications and Approvals and Head of Personnel Licensing Standards, and worked for British Airways and British Caledonian. He has an MBA from The Open University.
Matt Morland
Director Ground Operations and OCCMatt Morland joined CargoLogicAir 8 years ago. He has worked his way through Group Operations to be the Director of Ground Operations and OCC. Prior to this he worked for Avia Blu Flightline Ltd for 11 years in a number of Ground Operation and Business Development roles.
Matt has over 20 years’ experience in aviation and airport operations including being a fully qualified Loadmaster, starting out with HeavyLift in 1998.
Alastair Johnson
Head of ProcurementAlastair Johnson joined CLA in September 2020, from AirTanker Services where he had worked for 9 years, and has a proven track record in strategic and tactical procurement, within civilian and military aviation.
He holds a Diploma from both the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and is a member of the Agile Supply Chain Research Club. Alastair has also worked for Arik Air in Lagos Nigeria, British Midland Airways, DHL Air and UPS.
Clair Gunn
Acting Commercial DirectorClair joined the group 15 years ago and has been in her current role since September 2020. She has moved from Volga-Dnepr where she was the Key Account Manager looking after top aerospace accounts for VDUK and frame accounts.
With extensive sales experience and customer relations, Clair brings nearly 25 years of extensive aviation experience working in operations, crewing and rostering since leaving college after studying business studies.
John Gibson
Director of Safety Security and ComplianceJohn Gibson joined CargoLogicAir in September 2017 as the Director of Safety and Compliance. He is a qualified 747 pilot with over 30 years in aviation, and maintains his licence flying as a crew member.
Prior to this John was the Chief Technical Pilot with Titan Airways, Global Supply Systems and Thomas Airways. He started out as an Engineering Manager with British Airways for ten years before becoming a pilot with British Airways. John has an Engineering degree from Kingston University.

CargoLogicAir has a growing fleet of modern, nose-loading Boeing 747 freighters that incorporate the most advanced technologies to enhance its cargo carrying capabilities and environmental efficiencies.
